Pimobendan is administered orally at a total daily dose of 0.5 mg/kg (0.23 mg/lb) body weight, divided into two portions (not necessarily equal) given approximately 12 hours apart (e.g., morning and evening), using any combination of whole or half scored tablets to the nearest half-tablet increment, ideally one hour before feeding.
